Hospitals are the most common birth location in the US. Although birthing is a normal physiological event, when birthing in a hospital setting, often times technology is considered more important than the birthing person and “managing” labor is more important than labor support. For these reasons, birthing in a hospital landscape calls for strong advocacy skills from the birthing family.
Designed to supplement and complement our childbirth education offerings, this 90-min class helps the pregnant person get a better understanding of their rights and options of care while uplifting the birth partner’s sense of confidence in their advocacy role.
